This property, situated on a bluff overlooking Lake Chelan in central Washington State, offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The main objective of this project was to design a getaway cabin that integrates covered RV parking, a garage, and living space into a single structure that fits on the sloping terrain and maximizes views of the lake and vista beyond.

The design consists of interlocking volumes. The lower volume is an RV storage area with a living space at the back, situated to maximize views of Lake Chelan below. The upper volume is a two-car garage that has direct access to the living space. The rooflines mimic the surrounding mountains and help to shed the area's heavy snowfall. An outdoor shower area was also provided to rinse off after a swim or clean any furry friends before going inside.
